Works with Program Director in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carrying out operational duties.
Recreation coordinators must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams and clients.
Must work with the inter-disciplinary team.
This is an on-site role 25- 30 hours a week with potential for increased hours
Essential Functions:
Work for Social Day Care Program ? Assist Program Director in planning activities and calendar.
? Coordinate the program activities on a daily basis.
? Set up program room.
? Serving lunch and snacks.
? Assists with trips.
? Constantly monitor the clients during the program hours making sure they are safe.
? Daily record keeping including clients' attendance and sign-in logs.
? Ensure implementation of the agency's policies and practices.
? Outreach to community ? Maintain safety of participants at all times Required Education and Experience High School Diploma At least one year of experience working with Older Adults At least one year of experience in recreation At least one year experience as a supervisor Bilingual Russian and English required Flexibility for change in schedule due to programming needs Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to work with diverse teams and clients.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language.
Keep a polite and positive attitude with the clients and colleagues.
